James Daniel of Mourant Ozannes’ banking and finance and corporate practices has been sworn in by the Royal Court as a Jersey Advocate.

On the same day, Carol Doherty, who works in the firm’s litigation practice, was registered as a solicitor

Jersey Managing Partner Daniel Birtwistle said: "I am delighted to congratulate both James and Carol on their achievements, which duly recognise their hard work and dedication to their studies, over a substantial period of time. I look forward to supporting them in this next stage of their careers."

Advocate Daniel joined Mourant Ozannes in 2008 after completing the Legal Practice Course, having worked in the Mourant Ozannes London office for 18 months. He advises on the full range of offshore corporate and banking and finance work.

Ms Doherty joined Mourant Ozannes in 2007 after previously working as a family proceedings officer in the Family Division of the Royal Court. As a family law specialist, she advises on all aspects of divorce, matrimonial finance matters and children issues.
