Waitrose & Partners has appointed Neil Baxter as branch manager of its St Helier store.
Mr Baxter has worked for the firm in Jersey for eight years.
He joined the company in 2011, bringing with him more than 25 years’ experience in the retail industry. Mr Baxter's career began as a store manager for a butchery in Northern Ireland and has since developed a breadth of experience across a number of disciplines including sales, personnel, performance management, compliance and operational roles.
He is also a co-founder, and board member, of the Jersey Retail Association.
Chris Earnshaw, Head of Shop Trade at Waitrose & Partners, said: “Neil is a fantastic asset to our business and brings invaluable experience and qualities to the role. He takes great pride in being in retail and has built strong links with both our customers and the community, as well as the wider retail sector on the island.”
Commenting on his new role, Mr Baxter said that he was excited by the opportunities, particularly in helping deliver outstanding service.
“I’m incredibly lucky to work with a great team, and helping them to reach their full potential is what motivates and drives me. I’m really looking forward to the next chapter,” he said.
