New change manager for Greenlight in Jersey

Greenlight has appointed IT expert Thomas Sporle to join its team of change management experts, expanding its service to financial firms in Jersey.

Mr Sporle comes to Greenlight from the finance industry, where he has worked with a number of Global Fund Administration firms, specialising in fund accounting system implementation and Real Estate and Private Equity change projects.

With over 17 years’ in IT roles, both as an IT Project Manager and IT Business Analyst, he has a wealth of technical experience in SQL Server databases, Document Management systems and managing software development projects using AGILE delivery methods. In addition, he has implemented Digital Dictation software in a number of UK law firms and has worked on accounting system migrations for international Hedge Funds.

Mr Sporle said: “Digital change is a big issue for Jersey’s Finance sector and getting the right systems and processes in place, at the right time can be a major factor in delivering success over the competition. Part of my new role is being able to independently appraise systems and projects to ensure the required benefits of the change are delivered effectively.  Today, we all need to do more with less and businesses need to spend time growing their top and bottom line and not worrying about projects being delivered effectively - that’s our job!”

Rebecca Keating, Greenlight’s Head of Talent Management, said: “Recruiting the best talent in the business, and nurturing them to achieve their full potential is part of Greenlight’s strategy to provide the best change management services in Jersey.

“Within weeks of joining us, Thomas had taken his PRINCE2 AGILE exams, becoming one of the first change management consultants in the Channel Islands to secure this project management qualification. Thomas has an excellent range of technical skills and, and with his experience of digital and finance, he has quickly become an important part of our team.”
