Channel Islands business Law At Work has appointed Emma Adkins to the role of Human Resources Business Manager.
Mrs Adkins brings with her over 13 years HR experience, including most recently holding the role as deputy HR manager for the States of Guernsey Home Department. In her new role, she will be responsible for providing support to businesses across the full HR range, from administration through to strategy tailored to individual client’s needs.
Law at Work was established in 2004 to provide a “one-stop-shop” for HR support and health and safety services across the Channel Islands.
Managing Director Kelly Flageul said: “With Emma’s appointment we are very much looking forward to working with our clients to bring their policies and procedures in line with new legislation that is on the horizon. 2014 looks to be a year when HR issues come under the spotlight for a number of businesses.”
Mrs Adkins has a BA Honours Degree in Business Studies from Plymouth University, and after deciding to follow a career in HR completed Level 7 in Personnel and Development. More recently she completed the NVQ Level 5 in Management. She has a strong background within change management and employee relations, along with working in a discriminatory framework.
