A new PA network in town

Wednesday 08 June 2016

Tomorrow sees the inaugural PA Network event at the Grand Hotel.

The Network has been set up by Nikki Holland, who works as Executive PA to the Senior Partner at PwC in Jersey. She says that the purpose of the PA Network on the Island is to encourage the local PA community to get together to network and collaborate more.

The Network is founded on the best practices of similar PA networks in the UK, Europe and further afield, but of course with a Channel Islands focus.

This week’s launch event already has 70 guests registered to attend and it’s hoped that those gathered will be eager to become more actively involved in shaping the PA Network in Jersey over the coming months.

Commenting on the imminent launch, Nikki Holland said: “Firmly establishing a PA Network in Jersey has been one of my personal goals for some time now and it makes me very proud to see all the hard work behind the scenes finally come to fruition.

"I’m simply overwhelmed by the response rate to date and it reaffirms the demand that clearly exists for us hard-working PAs, Executive Assistants and Administrative Managers to get together, share ideas and have a little fun in doing so!

"On the evening, there’ll be a few surprises in store for guests and Nikki and the organizing team will also take the opportunity to conduct a brief survey, in order to better understand what the local PA community would value most from the PA Network in Jersey, whether that be in the form of future seminars, fun social events, workshops, training, motivational speakers and inspirational forums.

“I’m also delighted with the support provided by our sponsors, PwC and The Grand Hotel and Spa, who’ve both been instrumental in ensuring Thursday’s event can actually happen. In fact, PwC’s entire PA team from our Guernsey office are actually travelling across to attend the launch, so it’s a great opportunity for us to connect with each other outside of the regular working environment too.”
