Pair appointed at Ravenscroft

Ravenscroft has appointed Shani McBurnie and Kamil Taborski to new roles in client services and compliance.

Miss McBurnie is a Client Services Administrator and will provide Ravenscroft’s Jersey clients with a local point of contact for queries, while Mr Taborski joins as Compliance Administrator.

Haydn Taylor, Managing Director of Ravenscroft, said the appointments come as the number of Jersey clients and the assets under administration is increasing.

"Shani and Kamil have already proved themselves to be fantastic assets to the company and it is really encouraging that despite many financial companies imposing recruitment freezes that Ravenscroft locally has recently appointed three key people in Kamil, Shani and David Le Cornu as Head of Discretionary in Jersey," he added. "Knowing how busy we are, I am confident there will be more hires before the end of the year."

"It’s been fantastic getting to know some of our clients and I am looking forward to meeting as many as possible over the coming months," Miss McBurnie, who joins from the Jersey Financial Services Commission, said. "Ravenscroft definitely has a client first approach, our clients are people, not numbers and that’s something that I think is really important."

Mr Taborski, who previously worked as a Client Due Diligence Administrator which involved close contact with the Financial Crime Unit, added: "Compliance is a vital role for any regulated business and I am looking forward to working closely with my immediate colleagues, supporting the client teams, increasing my compliance knowledge and gaining relevant qualifications and playing my part in helping Ravenscroft continue its success.

"It’s a great company, it feels like a family and that is something which makes the brand special and unique. Everyone is going in the same direction to ensure the business grows."
