Three more staff at Rossborough Insurance have gained an important industry qualification as part of the company’s commitment to professional development.

Agnieszka De Freitas, Laura Boyd and Eleanor Goodridge have been awarded a Diploma in Insurance (CII). The diploma provides a core understanding of the principles of insurance practices across all industry sectors, enhancing professional and personal development in line with regulatory requirements.

Rob Hewlett, director of Rossborough, said: "Congratulations to Aggie, Laura and Elly for being awarded their diplomas in insurance. Here at Rossborough we are committed to personal learning and professional development for our team, which also helps deliver a high-quality service to customers."

Jersey-based Mrs De Freitas, who trains Rossborough staff in Jersey and Guernsey, said: "I sat four exams to achieve the diploma, passing two of them with distinction. As a training officer, I need to ensure that my knowledge is up to date in an ever changing legal and insurance industry environment. It’s also enhanced my professional credibility and boosted my confidence."

Knowledge gained from studying for the diploma will serve customers, according to Mrs Boyd.

"To achieve the diploma, I completed modules on insurance, business finance, broking practice and personal lines. The diploma has expanded my technical knowledge and kept me up to speed with the laws of the lands. This will come in very useful, especially in respect of claims," said Mrs Boyd, who is a private clients manager in Guernsey.

Mrs Goodridge, who is a private client broker in Rossborough’s Jersey office, said: "I was very happy to get my Diploma as I received my final marks on my last day before maternity leave. Having the Diploma gives me an extensive background of knowledge regarding the industry, which is helpful when choosing the right cover for each client. I’m now studying for my Advanced Diploma in Insurance."
