Sancus Limited has appointed Emilie Golding as Legal Executive in its Jersey-based team, as the company experiences continued growth in the P2P and specialist finance sector.

Ms Golding has over 19 years’ experience in the banking sector where she fulfilled a number of corporate banking roles, which included most recently leading the Corporate Documentation and Security team for a leading high street bank. Her experience and knowledge covers a wide range of banking operations including payments, customer due diligence, lending, security and credit.

Sancus Limited was founded in Jersey at the end of 2013, opening its Guernsey office in January 2014 and was acquired by the Guernsey-based, AIM listed lender GLI Finance last December. The business has seen significant growth in the last 12 months and now has a team of ten professionals based in its Jersey office.

Andrew Whelan, the CEO of Sancus, stated: “I am delighted Emilie has taken up her new role at Sancus Limited. We are a dynamic and innovative business and as we continue to grow, Emilie’s skills and experience will be invaluable in supporting the team and our clients.”

Sancus Limited has facilitated over £80 million in lending primarily to the local SME sector since it began operations.
