Smith & Williamson International has appointed a compliance professional with 20 years of experience to its local management team.

As Head of Compliance, International, Jayne Button will undertake anti-money laundering roles, as well as chairing the Risk and Compliance Committee.

Based in Jersey, she will work closely with her counterparts at Smith & Williamson risk and compliance teams in London and Ireland.

Speaking about her new role, Ms Button said: "Smith & Williamson has an excellent reputation and I am looking forward to working with the teams both here in Jersey, and in our other offices. It is a good time to be joining the business, which is enjoying exceptional growth and I am excited about being a part of such a skilled and professional team."

She is highly respected in the financial services sector having held senior compliance roles in regulated banking and investment management businesses.
