STEP Jersey to hold fifth Student Conference

Wednesday 17 June 2015

STEP Jersey is to hold its fifth Annual Student Conference on 9th July.

The half-day event, aimed specifically at wealth management industry employees who are studying for their STEP professional exams, has attracted a line-up of top speakers both local and from the UK.

"The STEP Jersey Annual Student Conference is aimed at providing added support to those people working hard towards their qualification," said Branch Chair Lorraine Wheeler.

"A professional workforce is one of mainstays of our reputation within the global landscape in which we operate and STEP is committed to ensuring that professionals working in the industry in Jersey adhere to the highest standards."

The topics being covered this year are "UK tax obligations for Jersey trustees" (Jeremy Duffy, Rooks Rider); "Property and the associated risks of management" (Craig Hallam, Salamanca Group); "Retirement and appointment of Trustees" (Naomi Rive, Coutts); "Global economic outlook: the recovery is back" (Dr Christian Shulz, Berenberg); and "Disclosure and confidentiality" (Henry Wickham, Bedells).

The event is free for STEP Student Members but members and non-members are welcome to attend. For further details and to register, email step@stepjersey.org or go to www.step.org/step-jersey-annual-student-conference
