Three C5 Alliance team members have gained EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Foundation and Practitioner certifications, ahead of the introduction of GDPR in May.
Andrew Gowlett, Trusted Technical Advisor, Phil Heath, Business Continuity Associate and Mark McLachlan, Service Delivery Manager, have now achieved the certification.
Antony Allen, Managing Director of C5 Alliance IT Services Jersey, commented: “As the Channel Islands’ largest provider of IT solutions, we believe in investing in the education of our team members. This enables us to provide the best, most up-to-date services and further instil client confidence. GDPR is the most significant change to data protection law in 20 years.
"It is therefore integral for us to have working knowledge of the new legislation to make sure our business and clients’ businesses are prepared. There is a misconception that GDPR legislation will only affect IT departments, however, it will impact all industries that utilise data. If you are unsure how GDPR will impact your business and need some advice, I encourage you to get in touch with our experts.”
