Two more successes for Jersey at Citywealth Awards

Tuesday 24 January 2017

Nedbank Private Wealth has been voted Private Bank of the Year, and Rathbones is once again the Investment Management Company of the Year, following the 2017 Citywealth Awards.

The awards were announced at a dinner held at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. The evening was hosted by Austin Healey, the former English rugby union player and contestant on Strictly Come Dancing.

The awards were judged by an international panel of practitioners from all financial sectors, with experience of working with advisers in all the jurisdictions covered.

Cameron Walker, Head of Relationship Management at Nedbank Private Wealth in Jersey, commented: ‘We are honoured to receive this award, which represents a strong, independent endorsement of our team’s ongoing commitment to providing exemplary service to our local and international clients. This recognition of our Channel Islands’ team follows a run of award wins over the past year across all our offices. These include Best UK Private Bank, Best International Private Banking Service (Non-UK), Best International Wealth Management Provider (UK) and Best Private Bank for Client Service in Dubai.”

Rathbone Investment Management International was named ‘Investment Management Company of the Year – Channel Islands’ for the third time in four years, and Managing Director Jonathan Giles also took the title of ‘Outstanding Individual of the Year.'

Commenting on the investment company’s success, Rathbone's Director Grant Hamilton said: “We are delighted to have retained the award for Investment Management. To win three times in the past four years is, I believe, testament to our excellent team here in Jersey who excel at putting our clients first and are continually delivering high quality portfolio management and service.”

Jonathan Giles added: “I was surprised and delighted to have received this award, but it simply reflects the great team we have here at Rathbones in Jersey.”
