Two new recruits at Quilter Cheviot Jersey

Wednesday 19 October 2016

Quilter Cheviot has taken on two new recruits to meet client demand and help develop new international markets.

Myles Renouf has joined the team as a Trainee Investment Manager and Allie McMahon as Business Development Manager.

Mr Renouf joins the Quilter Cheviot team from stockbroking and investment firm Ravenscroft, where he spent three years. He has acquired the Investment Advice Diploma and recently passed the Private Client Investment Advice & Management exam (PCIAM).

Explaining why he wanted to develop his career at Quilter Cheviot, Mr Renouf said: “The culture at Quilter Cheviot really appealed to me. I heard it was a great place to work, with impressive longevity of staff.  The recent acquisition of Quilter Cheviot by Old Mutual Wealth has opened up a number of opportunities for market expansion and I felt it was a great time to join the team and contribute to its further success.”

Allie McMahon has 17 years’ experience within the securities services industry based in Jersey, and was previously employed by BNP Paribas and RBSI Custody Bank.

At BNP Paribas she held a relationship management role within the client development team, ensuring a high level of service delivery on client portfolios, tailoring solutions to meet individual needs in profitable and strategic partnership.  She is an associate with the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (ACSI) and holds the Investment Operations Certificate (IOC). She is currently completing the Investment Advice Diploma (IAD).

Commenting on her new employer, she said: “Quilter Cheviot has a long-standing and excellent reputation within the Channel Islands and is known for providing high-quality investment management expertise as well as exceptional levels of customer service. Through my previous role I engaged with members of the Quilter Cheviot team and was always inspired by their enthusiasm for the company.  I seized the opportunity to become part of this very well respected organisation.”

Tim Childe, Head of Jersey Office and Head of International added: “Myles and Allie join us at a very exciting time for the business, as we capitalise upon the opportunities presented to us by our new Dubai presence and our synergies with Old Mutual Wealth. Their skills, experience and fresh perspective will enhance what is already an exceptionally strong team here in Jersey and help us to grow our international client base, and I am delighted to welcome them on board.”
