Walkers double TISE listings

Tuesday 07 January 2020

Walkers' Channel Islands has climbed into the top three listings sponsors of The International Stock Exchange.

The achievement comes after the firm more than doubling the number of listings it advised on over the last 12 months.

The Channel Islands team - led by Senior Counsel Christophe Kalinauckas (pictured) - was the only one among the top sponsors to increase the number of listings it advised and acted on in 2019, as overall listings figures dropped after record performances in 2018.

2019 saw Walkers welcome a number of new employees including Listings Manager Grace Pickering and Listings Assistant Anna Slusarczyk, who had both previously worked for TISE.

In addition, the law firm double its legal headcount with the appointment of Partner Nigel Sanders, Group Partners Rajah Abusrewil and Leanne Wallser, as well as Senior Counsel Zoe Hallam, Jon Le Rossignol and Tristan Maultby amongst others.

Mr Kalinauckas said the listings work was continuing, with "a healthy pipeline running into 2020, including green securities, securitisation structures, high yield bonds and private equity acquisition finance work".

"It's very pleasing to see that having more than doubled the number of listings that we advised on in 2019, we are continuing to win work and build market share, and we are already on track to continue that growth in 2020," he added.

"The growth in our team in Jersey and Guernsey has enabled us to offer an even more responsive service, and bringing onboard team members with recent first-hand knowledge of TISE procedures and processes has been extremely valuable. This has been welcomed by our issuers and their advisers alike."
