A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join this leading provider of corporate, trust and fund services in the position of Client Accountant within their Payroll Services Department. Reporting to the Department Manager, the main responsibilities of the role will be:* Preparation of annual accounts comprising of a mixture of Clients and Companies registered in Guernsey* Working with external auditors as required* Preparation of management accounts for a portfolio of clients* Production and maintenance of the accounts production priority listing* Liaising with the accounts team on accounting projects and issues* Liaising with and attending client meetings as required* To develop an understanding of running UK, Guernsey and Isle of Man payrollsThe successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail and accuracy with proven accounts preparation skills. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, and prior use of computerised accounting packages is desired. Willingness to learn and the desire to progress are essential. Not only will "on the job" training be provided but you will have the opportunity to enhance technical knowledge and experience by assisting with further study.The ideal candidate will preferably have a recognised accounting qualification, or be willing to study towards one, and have at least 3 years experience in the preparation of company accounts.
