After a weekend where every vote meow-tered... The Parish of St. Helier has crowned its most regal pet.

Taking the top spot was Buddy, whose Union Jack bowtie was fit for a king.

Buddy fetched 352 votes, ahead of Mr Kilmowski the cat, whose 307 votes must have left him feline like royalty.

Trailing closely behind was Percy the bunny with 298 votes.

The Coronation-themed competition was organised by the St. Helier Town Centre and Events team and run on their Facebook page.

People were able to cast their votes by commenting on the post.

In a Facebook comment, Buddy's owner, Jenna Baker, said that they had celebrated being the most paw-pular pet with roast chicken.

Jenna and Buddy won a £30 voucher for Pets Paradise at Le Marquand Bros.
