The daughter of a 51-year-old islander whose sudden disappearance earlier this year sparked a major search will be walking 48 miles the day before Father's Day to raise money for two charities who "worked extremely long hours" looking for her dad.
Accompanied by a group of her friends, Thomas Frost's daughter, Emily, will attempt to complete the Island Walk on 17 June in aid of RNLI and Channel Islands Air Search.

"When my Dad went missing in February, the RNLI and Channel Islands Air Search worked extremely long hours searching for him. My family is exceptionally grateful for their time, support, and resources," Emily explained on her JustGiving page.
"The 18th of June is Fathers Day – I would like to complete this walk for my dad, whilst raising money for these important services. The donations received will be divided equally between these two charities."
Emily's fundraising target was initially just £100, but donations have surpassed £2,500 in less than 24 hours.
In a post on Facebook, the RNLI Jersey urged islanders to show "support and compassion by helping Emily raise as much money as possible".
"Every contribution makes a difference," they added.
Mr Frost — who is 5’10, medium build with greying hair — was last seen at his parents' address, situated on a lane above L'Etacq in St. Ouen, on Saturday 11 February around 22:00.
Police believe that when he left the house, he could have been barefoot, but wearing a crimson t-shirt underneath a navy shirt with white buttons and navy jeans, and that he may also be wearing a light grey hoodie.
Various agencies joined in the search for Mr Frost, including Jersey Search and Rescue, Jersey Fire and Rescue Service, Channel Island Air Search, the Jersey Coastguard, CI Search and the Honorary Police. A Police Search Advisor from Guernsey was also brought over.
Searchers made use of drones, boats, planes and a search and rescue dog.

Despite following up numerous lines of inquiry and receiving several reports of people matching Mr Frost’s description, there have been no confirmed sightings since Mr Frost left his parents’ house.
On the two-month anniversary of the 51-year-old's disappearance, a senior police officer expressed his sadness in concluding the "physical" stage of the search for Mr Frost - but pledged to keep the wider investigation open.
Acting Superintendent Craig Jackson said: "States of Jersey Police and all of the agencies involved in the search are saddened that, despite our best efforts, we have been unable to locate Thomas and bring him home to his family."
Acting Supt. Jackson reiterated that the investigation remains ongoing and asked members of the public to remain observant when out and about and report anything that may be helpful to the inquiry.
