Domino’s car driver arrested after roundabout crash

Wednesday 04 April 2018

The driver of a Domino’s Pizza car was arrested following a collision at the Airport roundabout the weekend before last.

The orange Smart car was believed to be travelling through town and up Beaumont Hill in the direction of the airport between 04:12 and 04:28 on the morning of Sunday 25 March when the accident occurred on the L’Avenue de la Reine Elizabeth II roundabout.

Both the driver and his passenger – both 20-year-old men – were treated at A&E as a precaution following the crash. The driver was later arrested for traffic offences before being released on bail.

Police are now appealing to anyone who either witnessed the collision or saw the car in advance of the incident.
