It's been confirmed that another person has died with covid in Jersey, bringing the current official total to 74.
The news came in the government's daily covid statistics update, which also said that a further two people are now being treated in hospital with the virus, making six overall.
The latest numbers show that cases continue to fall, with a further 42 officially confirmed positive cases in the last day, compared to 70 people who are now listed as having recovered.
That makes the current number of official cases in Jersey 475, with 308 of those being symptomatic.

Yesterday, the government announced that the majority of the island's covid restrictions would be removed on the 26th August, and it was now moving to a strategy of managing the effects of the virus, rather than trying to suppress it.
80% of Jersey adults have now been fully vaccinated against covid.
