Grand Jersey Spa therapists give helping hand in SCBU for Mother’s Day

Sunday 11 March 2018

Mums and staff in Jersey’s Special Care Baby Unit received a bit of a helping hand from Grand Jersey Hotel & Spa earlier this week as a special treat ahead of Mother’s Day.

Two of the therapists from the AA five star hotel’s Spa visited the hospital for a few hours to give them a bit of ‘me time’, offering them luxurious complimentary hand and arm massages.

The therapists also gifted special soothing skincare samples for new mums on the ward and for those who may arrive in the coming days.

Simon Miller General Manager of Hand Picked Hotels Jersey, said: “SCBU has been Grand Jersey’s charity of choice for more than four years now and together with our generous guests, we’ve managed to raise over £20,000.

“The charity and the nurses do a fantastic job ensuring parents and babies get that extra special care and this is just a little something our therapists really wanted to do to spoil the mums whose babies are spending this Mother’s Day in hospital and those who are caring for them.”

The support provided in so many way by Grand Jersey is fantastic and we can’t thank them enough!”
