A man has appeared in court charged with committing an assault, resisting arrest and damaging a lamp in an alleged violent outburst.
22-year-old Charley Mills, from Jersey, was arrested by Police on the 2 January following an incident at a friend’s house.
During a Magistrate’s Court hearing on 3 January, the prosecution alleged Mr Mills had a violent outburst when a female he was with refused to leave a friend’s property and return to his address.
The alleged incident, Magistrate Bridget Shaw was told, stemmed from a disagreement with his mother on Christmas Day.
The 22-year-old is charged with three offences. They include assault, causing malicious damage to a door, causing malicious damage to a lamp valued at £40 and resisting Police arrest.
Magistrate Bridget Shaw, presiding, granted Mr Mills bail under the condition that he doesn’t contact the people involved in the incident and go within 50 metres of the scene or licensed premises. He has also been given a curfew of 22:00 to 06:00 at his home address.
Mr Mills is to reappear in the Magistrate's Court on 17 January.
