A 24-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving after a car crash at La Colomberie left three people in need of A&E treatment.
The collision took place shortly after 19:00 on Sunday (19 February) in La Colomberie, opposite Affinity clothes shop.
"A white Toyota Yaris was travelling along La Colomberie from the direction of Grenville Street heading towards Hill Street, when it mounted the pavement and collided with several pedestrians," Police said in an appeal for more information.
"One woman (71), and two men (aged 28 and 35) were taken to A&E for treatment and remain in a stable condition. A fourth pedestrian (man aged 71) was involved but not injured."
They said that a 24-year-old man was arrested and remains in police custody.
Officers said they want to speak to anyone "who witnessed the collision or may have seen the vehicle being driven immediately prior."
