Million Pound Lottery tickets down to their last 1,000

Friday 06 July 2018

The rush is on to buy the final tickets for the Jersey Hospice Care's Million Pound Lottery. More than 6,000 tickets have now been sold leaving fewer than a thousand to purchase.

7,000 tickets were put on sale on 14 May to help raise money for the charity's daily runnings costs as well as the planned extension of its services to children, young people and their families.

The tickets are £300 each and a total of £1,300,000 will be given away in prize money, with £1 million as the first prize, followed by prizes of £100,000, £75,000, £50,000, £25,000 and five prizes of £10,000 to lucky ticket holders.

In recent years, the lottery tickets sold out in as little as six weeks. The team at Jersey Hospice is therefore encouraging islanders to buy theirs soon.

Jersey Hospice Care’s Chairman, Julie Coward, said at the launch: "It’s wonderful to be able to offer everyone in the local community a chance to win a life changing amount of money. Remember to buy your tickets early! Last year, they sold out in just six weeks.

"This year, in support of the extension of our services to children and young people and their families, we hope to sell 7,000 tickets. Our thanks go to de Gruchy and NatWest for hosting us this year and to all the volunteers who help sell tickets and donate their time to this event."

The Live Draw will take place at the Royal Yacht Hotel at 17:30 on 7 September.
