A town centre street will no longer be closed on Sundays, following an appeal by taxi drivers and other motorists.
Police began closing the lower part of Mulcaster Street last year on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays due to safety concerns as it is one of busiest parts of the town centre.
Mulcaster Street will no longer be closed on Sunday, but will remain shut on Fridays and Saturdays, between 22:00 and 04:00.
