Jersey’s very own Superman has joined forces with his brother and is set to make a new action thriller.

Henry Cavill and his youngest brother Charlie have set up a production company with a London-based producer and are working on getting Duncan Falconer’s books onto the big screen.

The Man of Steel star is said to be likely to play the lead in "Stratton" - the first feature project for Promothean Productions.

He'd be well placed to take on the role of John Stratton, an SBS operative who works with the Intelligence Detachment in Northern Ireland being able to draw on his family's strong military background. His father served in the navy, his eldest brother Piers is a former army officer and his brother Nick is a major in the Royal Marines. Henry also had plans to join the army before his acting career took off.

Henry has been shooting Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the coming together of two blockbuster franchises that is set to hit the silver screen in 2016. Before that Islanders can expect to see him as Napoleon Solo in a film remake of The Man From U.N.C.L.E that is due to come out in August next year.
