Police are looking to identify a person believed to have attempted to break into a First Tower café using a hammer, causing damage to the building.

The alleged attempt took place at the Lookout Café in the early hours of Tuesday 9 January.

Between 02:44 and 03:15, a person was seen on CCTV attempting to break into the café

Police said that they were dressed in a dark-coloured hoodie and trousers, with a slightly different colour on front sections of the trousers.

The person, who police believe to be male, was also wearing Adidas trainers.

The suspect was also carrying a backpack and a hammer, which was used in the apparent attempt to enter the premises.

Some "minor" damage was caused to the café, officers said.
