Last week, over 60 islanders came together for the 'Round La Rocco' Beach Ironman to support a local initiative that teaches young people lifeguarding skills and beach safety.
The Beach Ironman event involved a run, swim, and paddle, and it was open to people of all ages and fitness levels.
There was even a tag team category to ensure that everyone could take part.
Many of the young participants in the Beach Ironman were part of the Junior Lifesaver Program, overseen by Jake Powell, the event's organiser.
He explained that the program aims to improve the lifesaving abilities of young islanders, creating a culture of lifesaving from the ground up, and providing career opportunities in organisations like the RNLI and emergency service.

Jake added: "The Life Saving Programme is all about cultivating a sense of community, sea skills, and ocean safety will provide a gateway into the Life Guarding Service."
Tahlia Averty, winner of the Female Open section, said: "It was a great event to take part in and had a good atmosphere.
"It is nice to have different sporting opportunities especially one that can lead to jobs such as RNLI."
