Jersey boy Henry Cavill has confirmed he will be donning his cape once more as he reprises his role as the comic book world's 'Man of Steel'.
The Jersey-born actor, who attended St. Michael's School, has played the role of Superman in three films, donning the blue suit in Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League.
After appearing in a mid-credits scene in 'Black Adam' released over the weekend, Cavill took to Instagram to announce to his fans that he was making a return as Superman.
Sharing a photo of himself in the iconic suit, he described it as a "very small taste of what's to come."
Cavill went on to say he had "a lot to be thankful for", adding: "Thank you guys most of all - thank you for your support, and thank you for your patience. I promise it will be rewarded."

The news - which was received with more than 2.8m Instagram 'likes' - will have been a welcome relief after speculation that Cavill may have been hanging up his cape for good.
This summer, it was rumoured that Cavill was set to be the next 007.
In June, odds were slashed for the Superman star to take on the role of James Bond after he appeared in an advert for No 1 Botanicals with an Aston Martin.
Clocking an Aston Martin DB5 in the short promotional video, Mr Cavill remarked: "Life will always have its sweet temptations."
After he shared the advert on his Instagram story, fans began speculating that playing James Bond might be the next step for the star of The Witcher and the Highlander reboot in the works.
Industry experts and media journalists joined in the speculation too.
Among them was Empire Magazine's former Art Editor Ollie Gibbs, who described the Bond reference in the advert as "not so subtle" to his 14,000 Twitter followers.

It's not the first time Mr Cavill has been linked to the role. Casino Royale Director Martin Campbell revealed that he was considered as a potential James Bond previously, but that it was ultimately decided that he was "too young" and wasn't "as experienced" as Daniel Craig.
Mr Cavill, meanwhile, previously said he'd "jump at the opportunity" should it arise.
