Were you driving through St Ouen on Saturday night?

Tuesday 21 October 2014

Police are appealing for drivers who may have witnessed a man assaulting a woman in St Ouen on Saturday evening to come forward.

The woman was walking down Rue de Trodez in St Ouen at 10.35 pm on Saturday when she was grabbed by a man.

The police have given a description of what the woman was wearing, and are hoping that it will prompt one of the drivers who was going past at the time to come forward to help.

The police appeal from Det Con Paul Lovesey said: “On Saturday evening a woman was walking along Rue de Trodez in St Ouen when she was approached from behind by a man who was wearing dark clothing.

“He grabbed her by the shoulders before running off.

“The woman was wearing a red top with a black jacket tied around her waist, black jeans, carrying a hand torch and a handbag with a light on it.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the States of Jersey Police on 612612.
