This week News Eye brings you a song which everyone can sing-along to.
It’s an old favourite about a cute pooch in need of love…
How much is that doggie in the window?
The one with the waggley tail.
How much is that doggie in the window?
I do hope that doggie’s for sale.
We’ve bought the doggie in the window,`
We’re going to make him our own.
We’ve bought the doggie in the window,
Cause everyone’s working from home.
The kids have promised they’ll walk him,
And clean up all of his hair.
Our new doggie is so playful,
But we wish he’d stop chewing that chair.
The training is rather expensive,
And so are the trips to the vet.
Dad has to go back to the office,
A dog-walker we’ll have to get.
Now we all want a holiday,
But the puppy is too small for that.
Kennels are just too expensive,
We wish we had chosen a cat.
The kids go back in September,
The house will be empty all day.
Except for our doggie in the window,
Who just wants to go out and play.
Our puppy is tearing up cushions,
And looks rather sad and forlorn.
He’s barking at 5 in the morning,
And ruining our manicured lawn.
How much is that doggie in the window?
The one with the waggley tail.
The sign says “one previous owner”,
It must’ve been a covid fail.
