Hundreds of islanders are getting ready to lace up their running shoes – and dress up – for the annual Durrell Dash, which is set to go ahead this Sunday.
The fun run was initially meant to take place on 5 November but was postponed due to the impact of Storm Ciarán.
However, the delay has provided the opportunity for the race to introduce a Christmas theme, with festive attire encouraged.
Sponsored by Rathbones, the event will see over 400 runners take part in three different distances: a 2.6km family fun run, a "jolly" 6km, or a "tremendous" 12km.
All three races will start and finish at the zoo.
Durrell's Communications Manager Tiffany Lang said: "There will be prizes for the best-dressed dashers, so we're hoping to see lots of Christmas jumpers and Santa hats making their way around the lanes of Trinity!"
Islanders who want to take part can find the event page here or email: Tiffany.Lang@durrell.org
