The Overseas Aid & Development Commission asked the Guernsey community for donations towards the biggest vaccine drive in history, VaccinAid, which is targeted at poor and underprivileged countries.

“I have been very impressed by the generosity of islanders,” said the Vice-President of the OA&DC, Judy Moore.

Ms Moore is also a vaccinator at the Covid-19 Vaccination Centre. She said her dual role gives her a greater understanding of how important the role of vaccinations are.

“I would like to encourage more people to ‘pay it forward’ by donating to the appeal.”

You can donate to the campaign ONLINE, helping provide covid vaccinations to third world countries. Taxpayers have already made a contribution through the OA&DC’s donation of £85,000.
