The Chateau des Tielles Nursing and Residential Home is up for sale, with the current owner looking to retire.
UK agents, Christie and Co. are advertising the property, near the Torteval cliff paths, with an asking price of £5.25m.
The agents have described it as being a “well established home” in a “beautiful Guernsey location”.
Its advertised weekly fees range between £1,335 and £1,925, with its turnover for 2023 stated as just over £2m.
The current owner, Peter Adam said he has decided the time is right to retire – having worked hard since buying the property and converting it into a Nursing and Residential Home.

“Having owned and operated the business for over 20 years, we have decided to sell to retire,” said Mr Adam.
“We intend to sell the business as a trading nursing home so that our residents can continue to stay in the home and to maintain our staff’s jobs.
“Chateau des Tielles is a lovely care home and one that is very close to our hearts, and it is important for us that we find a buyer who will continue to invest in the business and provide a high level of care to the residents whose home it is.”
Chateau des Tielles is registered for 26 service users, who can live in 16 single or five twin en suite bedrooms.
They share a large ground floor lounge, conservatory, and dining room.
The three-storey property also has a self-contained owners/manager flat on the second floor.
Mr Adam currently employs a full-time manager and a number of full and part time staff.

Charles Phillips, Director at Christie & Co, who is handling the sale, praised Mr Adam for the “well-run business” he’s now selling on.
“We are extremely pleased to be offering Chateau des Tielles to the market and believe the business should attract a good level of interest from care operators and investors alike.
“This is a very well-run business and in a strong trading position. Located close to the airport and not far from St Peter Port, the home is easily accessible for staff and residents’ families.
“The business is offered for sale in good order throughout and subject to all necessary permissions there could be potential for further expansion.”
