Design and print a Santa sack
To help get you into the festive spirit and bring some extra magic to Christmas, the Fab Lab at the Guille-Allès Library is once again hosting a series of beginner-friendly creative workshops!
This Saturday the 13th of December, you can enjoy the Santa Sack design workshop from 1:30 – 3:30pm! Sublimate your own festive design onto a sack – perfect for gifting or wrapping your presents in style.
During this session you’ll learn how to use Canva software to create a design, the sublimation printer and the heat press to print your personalised design. The session is £12 and includes all teaching and materials. The Fab Lab is on the first floor accessible via the lift or stairs.

Design and print a Christmas Cushion
Join the team back in the Fab Lab for a fun, beginner-friendly Christmas Cushion workshop, next Tuesday the 16th of December from 6pm – 8pm!
Learn to print your own festive design onto a cosy cushion – perfect for your own home or to give as a handmade gift this festive season. You’ll make the cushion using our sublimation printer and heat press, with designs prepared on Canva. The cost is £8.00 per person (includes all teaching and materials).

Both workshops are for people aged 9 years and above. Children aged 9–11 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of the session. By booking, adults agree to take responsibility for the safety of any children in their care while attending and using the machines.
Ballet D’Jèrri
Ballet d’Jèrri returns to the Princess Royal Centre for Performing Arts with two of its most talked about creations; “Footsteps” & “Sand and their castles”.
Coming to the PRCPA next Wednesday the 17th and Thursday 18th of December from 7:30pm, the company of 8 exquisite dancers are fresh from their debut at the newly refurbished Jersey Opera House, where this double bill was presented for the first time. Both works speak to BDJ’s identity: fresh artistic perspective, expansive technical range and grounded in audience connection.
FOOTSTEPS Choreography by Garrett Smith A poetic meditation on the fleeting intersections that shape our lives. Footsteps reflects on the brief but powerful collisions that brought Ballet d’Jèrri’s founding artists together – an ensemble formed across continents, caught in a shared moment of creation. Smith, known for his visceral, cinematic movement language, draws on his experience as a former dancer with Houston Ballet and Norwegian National Ballet to craft a piece that is both intimate and expansive.
SAND AND THEIR CASTLES Choreography by Tess Voelker Witty, strange, and oddly tender – this BDJ favourite by Voelker captures the dizzying emotional logic of adolescence. Through a theatrical blend of movement, gesture, and absurdist charm, Sand and Their Castles invites us into a world where memory plays tricks and childhood slips away and re-emerges in unexpected forms. Voelker, a rising voice in contemporary dance and associate choreographer with the Paris Opera Ballet, crafts something at once deeply personal and universally resonant.

Guernsey Choral and Orchestral Society Christmas Concert
A wonderful evening of Christmas music awaits!
Make your way down to St James next Friday the 19th, or Saturday the 20th December to enjoy a selection of family-friendly choir carols, orchestral favourites, Guernsey Music Centre choirs and congregational carols.
