Twilight Cinema returns to Castle Cornet
A summer favourite… Twilight Cinema is back at Castle Cornet!
From Thursday the 7th of August until Saturday the 16th of August, Twilight Cinema returns with 20 films showing across 10 days.
The 5pm screenings will include family favourites such as Shrek, Encanto and Matilda.
7pm screenings will be suitable for more adult audiences, with hits like Top Gun, Barbie, Furiosa and The Breakfast Club. There really is something for everyone!

Guernsey Chalk Art Festival 2025
Get involved in the Guernsey Chalk Art Festival, this Saturday the 9th of August from 10am – 3pm!
This free chalk art event, held at Saumarez Park, is an event for people of all ages to enjoy.
You can expect a relaxed day of creative expression and picnics… What’s not to love?
The organisers do judge the best efforts and stop taking entries for that at 3pm, but you are of course welcome to continue beyond that.

DODGY WITH SUPPORT FROM THE SHABS
Britpoppers Dodgy are back at St James this Friday the 8th of August, with support from The Shabs!
Legends of the UK live scene, there’s not many festivals or indeed towns that these boys haven’t played in the 34 years they’ve been together.
In that time, they have released five albums, sold over 2 million records, been streamed over 50 million times worldwide, and enjoyed 12 Top 40 singles, including the massive hit ‘Good Enough’ – officially one of the most played tracks on British radio in the last 30 years.
Dodgy have toured and played with everyone from The Who, Oasis, Blur and even The Jacksons. Their legacy as one of the standout British bands of the 1990s remains intact and they have certainly become a cherished part of British musical history.

Summer Holiday Activities with Guille-Allès Library
Join the fun at the Guille-Allès Library this summer, with their fabulous lineup of events!
From Monday the 21st of July, through until Monday the 1st of September, there is a wonderful variety of FREE events to get involved in.
This Friday 8th of August, you can enjoy Story Garden activities with Nature Guernsey, within the beautiful grounds of Candie Gardens!
Taking place from 10am – 3pm, activities will include planting, seed bomb making, bird feeder making, nature bingo, and nature stories.
This session is delivered in partnership with Guernsey Museums and with the Nature Guernsey team, part of La Société Guernesiaise.

Next Monday the 11th of August brings another day of board games in the Children’s Library. Drop in and play from 10am – 4pm! All ages welcome.
The following day, Tuesday 12th, you can Join Steph from Little Puffin Signing to learn some Signalong signs for the Summer Signing Challenge.
Then on Wednesday 13th & Thursday 14th August, you can find the Guille-Allès Library’s gazebo at the West Show! Join the Children’s Team for stories and crafts between 1pm and 5pm.

REGGAE PARTY WITH THE MARLEY EXPERIENCE
