It’s open to all between 12:00 and 17:00 at the leisure centre with talks aimed at people of all ages, who use the internet for any different reason.

Among those giving advice at the free event will be speakers from a range of local companies and organisations including the telecom firms, Guernsey’s Office of the Data Protection Commissioner, IT firms, schools and the College of Further Education and gaming companies.

Previous events, which are linked with Safer Internet Day, have attracted thousands of people with the organisers promising “guidance on online safety and security and also showcase the many areas that digital touches our lives in a very positive way.”

Speakers this year include (below l-r) Ken Cornish who will have advice for parents, social media expert Adam Burroughs, internet safety expert Matthew Parker and Borris Radonovic who will talk about gaming.
