A number of vehicles were damaged in a mystery incident that is now being investigated by Guernsey Police.
The incident is understood to have occurred sometime on Sunday evening.
Photographs shared with Express at 20:00 show parked cars and vans had suffered extensive damage to their bumpers and side panels.
The Joint Emergency Services Control Centre announced that St George’s Esplanade was closing to all motorists, between Salarie Corner and the Longstore, just after 20:30.
Guernsey Police officers were seen inspecting the scene and the damage at this time.
The road reopened just after 21:00.
The damaged vehicles were still parked along St George’s Esplanade on Monday morning.
Guernsey Police later confirmed that a 34-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.
