Charities in Guernsey who have paid for background checks on volunteers are being offered a refund by the States.
Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks made between June 2025 and January this year are eligible, according to the Association of Guernsey Charities which is processing the refunds.
Volunteers need DBS checks before undertaking work with children and vulnerable people, as well as some other types of work.
To claim or for more information, charities should email admin@charity.org.gg, a spokesperson said.
