After the success of the Dolphin Discovery Trail, which has raised more than £80,000 to be shared between two charities, the organisers are now considering what they might do next.
A Christmas theme has been mooted for 2026.
Steve Byrne of the GSPCA – which was a beneficiary of the 2021 Golden Goat Trail, the 2023 Puffin Parade, and the 2025 Dolphin Discovery Trail – said interested sponsors, artists, and venues can register by contacting him directly via steve@gspca.org.gg.
The GSPCA will receive more than £40,000 from this summer’s Dolphin Discovery Trail, which was supported by All Island Media, which owns Bailiwick Express.
Autism Guernsey will also receive more than £40,000.

The two charities worked together on the event which saw 62 dolphin statues sponsored, and decorated before being put on display across Guernsey and Herm.
The profits are being split equally between the two good causes to support the vital services provided by Autism Guernsey and the GSPCA.
Both organisations said the Dolphin Discovery Trail has been a huge success.
“It’s been a privilege to be part of such a creative and impactful initiative,” said Andrew Sparks, Director of Autism Guernsey.
“The funds raised will make a real difference to the lives of those we support. Thank you to everyone who contributed, especially Bailiwick Express for their help with the website and promotion.”
Mr Byrne added: “We are absolutely blown away by the generosity and enthusiasm of everyone involved. From the sponsors and artists to the volunteers and bidders, this event has shown the very best of Guernsey’s community spirit. Huge thanks to the Peninsula Hotel, Artex, Guernsey Freemasons, and all who helped make the auction night so special. With the GSPCA Biggest Build in our history and working 24/7 helping animals and our community these funds will help make a real difference and we are already looking to the future for the next big event and trail.”
