Anyone who enrols before the 31 January will be able to pay a reduced price – £20 for an individual walker and £105 for a team of up to seven people.

Usually, they would have to pay £25 and £140 respectively.

This year’s, 2020’s, Saffery Rotary Walk takes place on Saturday 6 June.

The 39 mile route is divided into sections by a number of checkpoints along the route, with each section being between four and eight miles in length and of varied levels of difficulty.

Chair of the Walk’s organising committee, Simon Milsted, said: “Last year we had a phenomenal turnout and ended up raising over £85,000, which was distributed across 25 charities. We hope next year’s event attracts record numbers and helps to raise even more money for the community projects it supports.”

Director at Saffery Champness and head of the firm’s CSR activity, Lisa Vizia said: “Supporting local community projects is central to our approach to CSR. As sponsors of the Walk, we are excited to continue our work with the committee to make this year’s event as successful as last year. It’s an honour to sponsor an event which helps so many deserving charitable projects on the island, is accessible to everyone and encourages lots of people to get active while enjoying Guernsey’s beautiful coastline.”

Walkers complete the 39 mile challenge in aid of a range of local charities and not for profit organisations, all of which operate in Guernsey and the Bailiwick. Charities that will be supported by the Walk in 2020 will be announced in early January.
