The Channel Islands Lottery gave £427,082 to charitable causes last year, supporting mental and physical wellbeing projects across Guernsey and Jersey.
Guernsey received £191,023 in grants and funding, distributed by the Social Investment Fund Guernsey, with the largest grant of £130,000 going to St John Guernsey to fund management salaries for three years.
Other projects supported include £14,403 for the Youth Commission so Guernsey Skateparks can build a new indoor venue and £10,000 went towards paying a Guernsey Netball Development Officer role.
Another £10k went to the Guernsey Sports Commission, in partnership with Up Climbing, to launch a community climbing project for young children and individuals with special educational needs.
£12,500 was used for the Guernsey Art Network’s ‘Creativity Trolley’, an arts pilot programme at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital.
Funding was also given to the Guernsey Football Association Youth Council, Alderney Rugby Football Union Club, and Vive La Vallette.

Jon Taylor, Head of Lottery, said the CI Lottery is proud to support charitable organisations and individuals working to improve the wellbeing of their communities.
“Across the Channel Islands, charitable organisations and individuals are working to improve the wellbeing of their communities and we’re proud to be able to support them through the Channel Islands Lottery.”
Mr Taylor added: “By providing funding and grants for projects that enhance the mental and physical health of people of all ages we are ensuring that our local communities thrive and grow despite often challenging times.”
He concluded: “Working together through our funding partners we can ensure that the money generated from Channel Island Lottery ticket sales goes exactly to the groups that can make most impact and we’re looking forward to being able to continue this for many years to come.”
