Guernsey’s first Seafront Sunday of 2025 will support the GSPCA, with the charity organising its popular ‘Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday’ this weekend.

There’ll be a dog show, starting at 12:30 with registration open from 11:00. It’s open to all dog breeds and features several different classes including Best Male Puppy (under 2yrs), Best Female Puppy (under 2yrs), Lovely Ladies, Fabulous Fellas, Best Rescue, Waggiest Bum/Happiest Handler, Golden Oldies (7 yrs +), Best Trick, Fancy Dress, Dog Most Like Their Owner, and Best in Show (for class winners).

Entry costs a minimum £5 donation per dog, allowing entry into multiple classes. Participants can register their dogs on the day, whilst the GSPCA is also seeking prize donations and sponsors.

Steve Byrne, GSPCA Manager said there’ll be lots of other entertainment too.

“It is all go at the GSPCA as we prepare for this weekend’s Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday. The trophy has been polished and we have brand new fantastic rosettes for the winners and many or the runner up positions.

“We are looking for additional prizes and anyone that can help please do get in touch.”
