Entrepreneurs and property developers will have the chance to take an up-close look at two waterfront sites in St Peter Port this Friday, during a joint open day.

Guernsey Ports is looking for firms to redevelop the two “landmark” sites at the harbour – the old Boathouse Restaurant and Slaughterhouse East site.

Ports’ Commercial Development Manager, David Buddery said time slots needed to be booked in advance because of high demand.

“The level of interest we have seen since launching these opportunities demonstrates the appeal and potential of these landmark sites,” he said.

  • Buildings and boats at Victoria Pier, viewed from the shoreline.
  • Empty former restaurant interior with wooden floor and sea-facing windows.
  • Vacant restaurant space with stone walls and serving hatch.
  • Cobblestone-floored entrance area inside the Slaughterhouse complex.
  • Empty stone-walled room with exposed beams and shelving.

The open morning, from 09:00 to 11:00 on 17 April, would help people “understand the character of the buildings and the scale of opportunity”.

Anyone interested in viewing the properties should contact Terry Gardiner at terry.gardiner@savills.com or Tony Rowbotham at tony.rowbotham@savills.com.

The deadline for expressions of interest is 30 April.
