Local people who have an interest in medical ethics are being called to join the Guernsey Ethics Committee.
The committee meets every other month and is made up of both health and social care professionals and lay members.

The objectives of the committee are to maintain high ethical standards in the conduct of all research studies undertaken in Guernsey and Alderney on participants who consent to take part, thereby protecting their dignity, rights, safety and wellbeing.
The committee provides an ethical opinion on research studies using therapeutic, non-therapeutic or diagnostic methodologies and research studies using social science methodologies.
