Two kittens found alone in a field over the summer are now living their best lives in their new home, just in time for National Cat Day.
Sooty and Sweep were taken into the care of the GSPCA after being discovered without any sign of their mother.
After plenty of care and attention from the charity’s team, the pair found a new home with Karen and John Edwards.
The couple have since sent the GSPCA an update on their new arrivals.
They said: “John and I would like to thank you for letting us adopt Sooty and Sweep. They have brought so much fun and love into our home. They have settled in and are happy, crazy kittens.”

GSPCA animal care team member Anna Jones said it was “incredibly rewarding” to see vulnerable kittens become happy family pets.
“Hearing updates from adopters really makes our day, and it is wonderful to know that Sooty and Sweep are bringing so much happiness to Karen and John.
“We currently have many cats and kittens at the GSPCA looking for homes, and we would encourage anyone considering adding a feline companion to their family to get in touch.”
GSPCA manager Steve Byrne said the kittens’ story showed the importance of animal rescue and rehoming.
“Thanks to the care of our team and the kindness of their adopters, they now have the happy future they deserve,” he said.
He added that caring for cats and kittens required significant resources, including food, veterinary treatment and heating, and thanked everyone who supports the charity.
