JGA has appointed Mike McLellan as a Senior Chartered Architect, who brings over 30 years of experience in architectural design and project delivery from the UK, the Far East, and more recently, Guernsey.
The Architecture firm says his experience covers a wide range of sectors, including residential, commercial, health, and the refurbishment of Listed Buildings. He also has a background in leading strategic masterplans for regeneration projects. Mr McLellan is also a Part III examiner for APEAS, where he mentors and assesses aspiring Chartered Architects.
Commenting on his new role, Mr McLellan said: “I am very excited to work with like-minded people at JGA to deliver the right solution and seek opportunities to make a difference in the built environment.
“I have worked on many different types of projects over many different sectors over the years from small-scale one-off properties to large master plans which were delivered successfully to reshape communities in a positive way.”
He concluded: “I’m keen to hear ideas from everyone in the team and to actively support younger members in their journey in the profession of architecture.”
James Gavey, the companies Managing Director, said McLellan’s appointment will strengthen the company’s design offerings and capacity: “We are delighted to bring Mike into the team to add value to our range of design projects. Having practiced as a Chartered Architect in Guernsey and further afield, Mike brings a wealth of design experience across many sectors.
“Strengthening our design offerings and capacity alongside our existing talented technical team marks an exciting chapter for JGA, and we’re very much looking forward to working with Mike”.
