Bailiwick businesses are encouraged to enter the King’s Awards for Enterprise, with the application window for the 2027 awards now open.
The King’s Awards for Enterprise, formerly the Queen’s Awards, was established in 1965. They celebrate business excellence, including ‘exceptional achievement’.
The only Bailiwick business to have ever won one of the awards is Guernsey Glampsite Camp des Rêves, which was given the 2025 sustainability development title.
For the 2027 awards, a new Young Founder category has been added to recognise the achievements of young entrepreneurs aged 18–30 and showcase entrepreneurship as an attractive and viable career path.
The Lieutenant Governor, His Excellency Sir Richard Cripwell and the Guernsey Chamber of Commerce are again encouraging local businesses to enter.
Alice Gill, Executive Director of Chamber, said they’re keen to see applications from young people in particular.
“The new Young Founders category is particularly exciting as it will showcase the innovation and entrepreneurial excellence of the next generation of business leaders.”
She added: “These awards are highly regarded and elevate the profile of our businesses to a national level.”

Any award winners will be invited to a Royal reception and receive their award from the Lieutenant Governor.
They will be able to fly the King’s Awards flag at their premises for five years, use the emblem on their marketing, and receive a Grant of Appointment along with a commemorative trophy.
The application window is now open until 8 September 2026.
Advice to local companies on the application process is available from the Guernsey Chamber of Commerce at Office@guernseychamber.com.
