Camp des Rêves has been awarded its King’s Award for Enterprise.
A presentation was held at Government House earlier this week where the glamping site owners and their team received their sustainability development award.
Guernsey’s Lieutenant-Governor, Lieutenant General Sir Richard Cripwell, commented: “I was delighted to present this Award to Danny and Jane Barnes, who richly deserve this very special accolade. This is a first for Guernsey and I am confident that, on the back of Camp des Rêves success, many more of the excellent and innovative businesses we have in Guernsey will enter for the King’s Award for Enterprise in the future.”

Camp des Rêves was one of 199 nationwide recipients of the King’s Award for Enterprise – which recognises outstanding achievement by businesses in the categories of innovation, international trade, sustainable development and promoting opportunity through social mobility.
The Guernsey glamp-site received the Award in the Sustainable Development category, one of only 27 businesses across the UK to receive this recommendation. The King’s Award noted: ‘Their glampsite uses eco-friendly practices and materials, minimising environmental impact while offering a luxury experience’.
