There are plenty of talented local musicians and artists performing throughout Liberation Day in Guernsey, with something to please everyone’s palette.

Whether it’s during the day at Castle Cornet, throughout the afternoon on the Albert Pier, or into the evening with the Tea Tent Takeover, people will be in for a treat in town today.

There are also other live music acts performing out of town at the KGV, the Last Post, and Sylvans.

Castle Cornet

Once again hosted by Guernsey Museums and Guernsey Arts, Castle Cornet is offering everyone free entry today, between 10.00 and 16.00.

Tea Tent Takeover

This year will also see the Tea Tent take on a very different style in the evening thanks to the Breakz n Beatz Liberation Day Takeover.

From 19:00 through to 23:00, on Guernsey’s Crown Pier, the line up will look to entertain into the evening.

There’ll be Leo Piero B2B Trist (Hosted by MC Doddz), Fibre, Vaerant, Güille, Lem, and TTSE.

The event is supported by the Vale Earth Fair and Codeblack, and more information can be found through the Guernsey Arts website.

Breakz ‘n’ Beats organiser, Leo Donaldson, said: “We are excited to bring an electrifying night of music with a high energy blend of house, breakbeats and old school sounds moving through bass genres and into the likes of jungle and drum and bass.

“It is an amazing opportunity to share our sets with a crowd that appreciate the genres and offer an alternate space along the seafront for people to round out their Liberation Day celebrations after a day of commemorations and family fun.”
