Guernsey Police have released the following statement:
“Officers are currently looking for witnesses of a sexual assault which is believed to have taken place between 8pm and 9pm on Friday, 15th September, in Town.
“A 27-year-old man has already been arrested in connection with the incident. He is understood to have been acting inappropriately and aggressively towards a teenage girl on Ann’s Place, at the entrance from St Julian’s Avenue.
“Reportedly, a number of people were passing by the area at the time on foot, in cars and on cycles. Officers would be particularly keen to speak to any of those people who may have seen what happened, or anyone who may have dashcam footage of the incident.
